Canadian Lifesaving National Team Quinquennal Plan (2009-2013) - Core Events

The Canadian Lifesaving National Team Quinquennal Plan was developed to identify the key benchmarks for the development of high performance athletes in regards to core event competitions, additional competitive opportunities and training camps.

Core Events
Core events are major international meets to be attended by athletes selected by the NSO selection committee in accordance with criteria issued at least a year prior to the event.
Core events are to be attended by a full NSO coordinated National

Team accompanied by a logistical team (coach, manager, allied health).

The following core events were endorsed by the Canadian Lifesaving Sport Commission, NSO.

  • World Games 2013*   Cali, Colombia   Summer, 2013
