In line with its commitment to offer additional international exposure to its high performance athletes, Lifesaving/Sauvetage Canada is pleased to invite Canadian female lifesaving athletes to compete at the following major international surf lifesaving event.

Date: Wednesday, 27 July 2011 (registration starts at 7:30am)
Type: Beach and Ocean (Small to Mild Surf)
Attendees: USA
Events:

  • Distance Run (unlimited)
  • Ocean-Kayak Challenge (1 athlete per club)
  • Run-Swim-Run (unlimited)
  • Run-Paddle-Run (2 athletes per club)
  • Beach Flags (1 athlete per club)
  • Ironwoman (2 athletes per club)
  • Surf Rescue (1 team of 2 athletes per club)
  • Swim-Run Relay (1 team of 3 athletes per club)
  • Run Relay (1 team of 4 athletes per club)

Athletes must compete as lifeguard agencies/clubs. The host will determine in which competition Division you belong based on the size of your agency/club (not the size of the actual team competing).

Please contact the host to register your interest to compete. However, actual registration to the event (free of charge) is done on the morning of the event.

Eligibility:

  • Be a bona fide lifesaver in good standing with the Canadian Lifesaving Society.
  • Be a woman

Athletes are responsible for all matters relating to their participation to this event. The NSO is only highlighting the existence of this event and has no oversight over its organization. The United States Park Service has full oversight over this event. Athletes must comply with any decision made by the organizational committee or the United States Park Service even if it goes against some of the initial advice received. It is strongly advised to review the rules set in the documents included below. Please read carefully as events are not run per ILS standards.
